The Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 65 Stiff Flex Driver Shaft is a premium graphite shaft designed to deliver a refined combination of smooth feel, balanced launch, and dependable stability.

Featuring the original Tensei Carbon Kevlar (CK) construction, the 65g Stiff profile produces a versatile mid-launch, mid-spin ball flight with the responsive feel and consistency that established Tensei Blue as one of Mitsubishi's most recognisable shaft profiles.

Overview

The Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 65 Stiff is designed for golfers seeking a driver shaft that provides an ideal balance of feel, stability, launch, and control.

Tensei Blue occupies the versatile middle ground within Mitsubishi's performance family.

Rather than targeting an extremely low trajectory or an aggressively active high-launch profile, CK Blue is engineered to provide a neutral performance window that works effectively with a broad range of swing types and modern driver heads.

The original CK construction incorporates a Carbon Fibre and DuPont Kevlar weave within the butt section, designed to improve stability while providing a smoother, more refined sensation in the hands.

Combined with Mitsubishi's Low Resin Content prepreg construction, this creates a shaft that feels responsive during transition while maintaining enough structure to remain controlled through impact.

The 65g Stiff configuration adds a substantial, connected feel without becoming excessively heavy, making it an excellent all-round performance option for golfers who prefer a traditional 60g-class driver shaft.

Performance Overview

The Tensei CK Blue 65 Stiff is engineered around a mid-launch, mid-spin profile, producing a balanced trajectory that combines useful carry distance with dependable directional control.

Its defining characteristic is its smooth and progressive feel.

During transition, the shaft loads naturally without feeling excessively soft or overly rigid. This allows golfers to maintain rhythm and timing while still receiving enough feedback to remain connected to the clubhead.

As the club approaches impact, the stable mid and tip sections help maintain predictable clubhead delivery, supporting consistent launch and dispersion.

At 65g, the shaft provides noticeably more substance and clubhead awareness than lightweight 50g profiles while retaining enough speed potential for modern driver builds.

That makes the CK Blue particularly versatile for golfers who don't need an extreme launch correction but instead want a shaft that simply provides a dependable blend of speed, feel, trajectory, and control.

The result is a shaft that delivers:

  • Balanced mid-launch trajectory
  • Controlled mid-spin performance
  • Smooth and progressive loading
  • Stable clubhead delivery through impact
  • Excellent feedback and clubhead awareness
  • Consistent energy transfer
  • Predictable ball flight and dispersion

Key Technologies

Carbon Kevlar (CK) Weave

The defining technology behind the original Tensei CK series is a Carbon Fibre and DuPont Kevlar weave incorporated into the butt section.

This multi-material construction is designed to increase stability while providing a smoother, more refined sensation in the hands throughout the swing.

Low Resin Content Prepreg

Mitsubishi's Low Resin Content construction allows a greater proportion of carbon fibre to be incorporated into the shaft structure without unnecessary additional weight.

This contributes to improved strength, responsiveness, and overall consistency.

Balanced Blue Performance Profile

The Tensei Blue profile is engineered around mid launch and mid spin, providing a versatile performance window rather than targeting an extreme trajectory.

Stable Tip Performance

The lower section provides enough stability to maintain control through impact while retaining the responsive overall character that defines Tensei Blue.

65g Stiff Platform

The 65g Stiff configuration provides an excellent combination of weight, stability, and speed for golfers who prefer a more substantial driver shaft without moving into a traditional 70g-plus profile.

Player Profile

This shaft is ideally suited to golfers who:

  • Prefer a Stiff flex driver shaft
  • Have moderate to faster swing speeds
  • Want a balanced mid-launch trajectory
  • Prefer controlled mid-spin performance
  • Value smooth, progressive shaft loading
  • Want stability without an excessively firm feel
  • Prefer a traditional 60g-class performance shaft
  • Want greater clubhead awareness than a lightweight 50g shaft
  • Need an all-round shaft rather than an extreme launch or spin profile
  • Are looking to replace an original Tensei CK Blue shaft

The Stiff flex is particularly well suited to golfers with moderate to stronger transitions who want a shaft that remains stable without losing its responsive character.

Swing speed alone should not determine shaft selection. Tempo, transition, release pattern, driver head weight and finished playing length should also be considered.

Why Choose the Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 65 Stiff

The Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 65 Stiff is designed for golfers who want a driver shaft that does everything well without forcing them into an extreme performance profile.

Its mid-launch, mid-spin characteristics make it highly versatile, while the Carbon Kevlar construction gives the shaft the smooth, connected sensation that helped establish the original Tensei CK range.

For golfers who find lightweight shafts too active but don't want the demanding feel of a heavier low-launch model, the 65g CK Blue occupies an extremely useful middle ground.

It provides enough weight to maintain excellent clubhead awareness, enough stability to handle a confident transition, and enough responsiveness to preserve feel throughout the swing.

With this shaft, you can expect:

  • Balanced mid-launch driver flight
  • Controlled mid-spin performance
  • Smooth and responsive loading
  • Stable performance through impact
  • Excellent clubhead awareness from the 67g profile
  • Consistent energy transfer and ball flight
  • Predictable dispersion
  • The refined feel of Mitsubishi's original Tensei CK construction

This is a premium performance graphite driver shaft for golfers who want a proven combination of feel, stability, and versatility — delivering the balanced performance characteristics that made the original Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue such a popular shaft.

How long will my build take?

We aim to dispatch all orders within 1–3 working days, although many orders are dispatched sooner.

Some products require professional assembly before dispatch. Where applicable, shafts are assembled using a premium long-cure epoxy and allowed to cure fully before final inspection. This helps ensure maximum bond strength, long-term durability and the highest quality build.

During particularly busy periods, dispatch may occasionally take a little longer, but we'll always work to get your order on its way as quickly as possible.
